Accessible Boating Thames

Accessible Boating Thames

Bisham, United Kingdom

Acerca de

Accessible Boating Thames is a wonderful charity that believes everyone deserves the joy of being on the water, regardless of physical, sensory, or learning disabilities. Inspired by Kenneth Grahame's immortal words from The Wind in the Willows – "there is nothing half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats" – they've made it their mission to open up the River Thames to those who might otherwise struggle to access mainstream boating services. Based in the beautiful Thames Valley at Bisham, they offer adapted sailing experiences alongside paddling and motor boating activities. Whether you're part of a SEN/SEND school group, a family looking for an inclusive day out, or an individual wanting to discover the therapeutic benefits of being on the water, their team creates welcoming, supportive experiences tailored to different needs. The well-documented physical and mental health benefits of time on the water are at the heart of everything they do, making this an inspiring place to begin your boating journey.
