Aberdeen & Stonehaven Yacht Club offers the unique advantage of sailing in two distinctly different locations throughout the season. From March to June, you'll learn and race on the calm waters of Loch of Skene near Westhill, perfect for building confidence and mastering the fundamentals. Then from June to November, the club relocates to Stonehaven Bay on the North East Scottish coast, where you'll experience the exciting challenges of tidal waters and waves. As an RYA recognised training centre, the club provides an excellent pathway into sailing with junior dinghy courses and powerboat training. Their impressive fleet of 24 club dinghies is available for hire, and new members can sail these boats free during their first year. Whether you're drawn to the Optimist and Topper classes for beginners, or aspire to sail performance boats like the Laser or Blaze, this welcoming club in Kincardineshire offers a supportive environment to develop your skills on both inland and coastal waters.
