About
Nestled on the northern edge of the Mendip hills just eight miles south of Bristol, Chew Valley Lake Sailing Club offers an exceptional learning environment on the biggest inland waterway in the south-west of England. The spacious lake can accommodate fleets of over 100 boats, giving you plenty of room to develop your skills without feeling crowded. The club provides comprehensive RYA training programmes alongside youth courses and powerboat training, with a welcoming atmosphere that makes beginners feel right at home. With five separate slipways for easy launching, modern facilities including large changing rooms with hot showers, and a licensed bar with terrace overlooking the water, it's a comfortable place to spend a day on the lake. Regular Wednesday evening and Sunday racing sessions mean there are plenty of opportunities to put your new skills into practice. The club even has dinghies available for members to trial different boats as you discover what suits you best.
