The Army Sailing Association (ASA), established in 1947, is the official RYA Recognised Training Centre for British Armed Forces personnel. Based at Thorney Island with access to the renowned Solent sailing waters, the ASA offers a comprehensive range of RYA qualifications from dinghy sailing through to offshore racing and cruising. Whether you're looking to gain your first RYA certification or progress towards Yachtmaster, the ASA provides shore-based courses, practical sail training, and powerboat qualifications across all disciplines. They also offer training in windsurfing and kitesurfing. With a strong emphasis on developing world-class sailing facilities and a proud history spanning over 75 years, the ASA combines military discipline with genuine passion for getting people on the water.
